  Flying cars!! Ok, so now that I have your attention, let's philosophize for a few.

The Good;

 There are a few that have claimed to have unlocked the secret to anti-gravity tech. Tesla, John Searle and Otis Carr to name a few, but I was just looking at a list of around 45 different types of man-made flying saucers, that have been PRIVATELY registered with the patent office. The name Frost is on several of the patents. The tech is out there. With current levels of manufacturing( 3D printers), fabricating the components should not be difficult, or very expensive. Even creating the software for controlling the thing with an intuitive, real-time system is do-able.
 So, WHERE IS MY DAMN FLYING CAR?!?

 The Bad;

 Here is one thing that keeps coming into my mind every time I think about the population having flying cars. How the hell do they control borders. I am willing to bet that this is very high up in the list of reasons that flying cars are not available. All of a sudden, the Corporation of the Government of XXX would be losing a crapload of money and control. The revenue lost from the air travel monopoly alone would be astronomical. Even just for domestic flights!! The control of the fear-mongering, border control/immigration nazis of the world, would slip away. Just for the record, I am Canadian, so in a way I grew up in a country that, traditionally, has very little in the way of border control. The largest unguarded coastline of any country in the world. There are muslims, christians , hindus, buddhists, sikhs, etc that live across the street from each other, and for the most part, there is very little in the way of the bullshit political violence that you see in the rest of the world.  'Nobody gives a fuck where you come from, just as long as you play nice while you are here.'  There was a time when people immigrating into the country had equal access to all civil systems. A world without borders is not only do-able, it is easier than we think. After all, how many terrorist attacks has Canada seen on its own soil? The same can be said for a few other countries as well.

 The Ugly;

 Due to the current depth of corporate (government) corruption, on every level, we will never see them sold at our local Ford dealer. Not with the current agenda. Hell, getting even 10% of the truth out of our controlling corporations seems like pulling teeth! Let's face it, we are consumers of what we are told to consume. It just so happens that humanity is starting to understand that the Entities that are telling us what to consume, and when to consume it, are not interested in what is good for us, or our planet!! So, I say again. We build one, then we build one for our neighbors. Then we build ten for all of our neighbors. Fuck the banks, the corporations, and the patent process.
 So how  does all of this tie in with the title? Easy. Maurice Cotterel has put forth an alternative explanation to gravity. Chapter 11 of the Practical Guide to Free Energy Devices is all about theory. Chapter 11 contains a large chunk of the paper written by Maurice Cotterell. The paper is titled 'How gravity works, and related matters.' He defines gravity as a result of an imbalance in the forces of the 'zero point energy field'. Simply stated, the force we know as gravity does not exist. We are not pulled toward the center of the planet, we are pushed by an imbalance in the ZPE field. This can be demonstrated by the 'Casmir Effect'. I won't try to explain it any more than that. Here is a link to the paper. I suggest giving it a read.
